The idea was born over a cup of coffee. My first get-together at a French café with photographer Jamie Nease sparked the idea that we could meld our mutual passion for fashion, art, photography, color and dance.

We envisioned professional dancers as our models.  We dreamed they would take flight or balance just-so on their tippy toes, wrapped in my hand-painted fabrics or designs. Jamie would capture the convergence of color, shape, movement and beauty — all in a split second. Enter Instagram! In our first shoot, we discovered Madison Keeler, Kamryn Baldwin and Ami Yuki, all of the SF Ballet. Add Jamielyn Duggan, a classically trained dancer with the SF Opera and contemporary troupes. Ashlee Samson and Taylor Gallanter would add their magic as hair and make up specialists.

In the second shoot, we add the beauty and poise of four new SF Ballet dancers – Kimberly Braylock, Vaentina Olson, Lizzy Powell and Thamires Chuvas, And the hair and makeup skills of Maya Roget.

Here is the result of aligning our collective talents, hard work and desire to collaborate artistically.

Art. Levitation. Flow. What would you call it?
