Looking for a unique and fun to way to celebrate a birthday or special occasion?
This experience for mothers & daughters, gal pals, book clubs, and all those looking for a different way to spend time with friends and tap into your creativity…together.
What We’ll Do
We’ll start by sipping a beverage and talking textiles! After hearing how the creative process lights up your brain, you’l learn how to paint on silk by exploring with a paint brush, a blow dryer, water and dye. After a couple of testers to loosen up and get comfortable, you’ll get to create a scarf or your own wine/flower vase/ “everything” wrap. If you are part of a group celebrating a special ‘someone’, let’s discuss what all the guests might make together for the guest of honor!
Like ceramics that get fired in a kiln, I’ll need to put your creations into my ‘rocket ship’ steamer, then iron and finish them, which will take me additional time to complete after you leave. I will arrange with you for a hand-off if you are local. If you need to have it shipped, we can work it out if you’ll cover the cost of shipping. If interested, we can also talk about the art of layering, how to wear a scarf, and answer your color questions as we wrap up with some styling demos.
Where We’ll Be
We’ll spend the session at my art and design studio, located in my cozy and light-filled home. We want to spend as much time painting as possible so we’ll dive in right away!
