Floating paintings on silk convey the vibrancy and fluidity of my mounted paintings but also include the transformational elements of movement, breath and luminosity.
From a design standpoint, silk lends itself to a fantastic range of creative design that brings art off the wall and into the living and working space. Examples include canopies, space dividers and corner ‘hanging sculptures.’ Suspended from the ceiling or away from a wall, these pieces animate interiors with movement and drama as well as color that changes with the light. One piece can singlehandedly warm up a vast space, underscore architectural elements, anchor a soaring ceiling or soften a corner.
Note: The scale of the paintings can be tricky, so please see the actual dimensions of each piece. Some of the largest pieces appear to be smaller because of the photography.
- WALL HANGINGS (designed for hanging against a wall)
- FLOATERS (designed to be hung from ceilings or beams so they appear to float mid-air)
- CANOPIES (mid-air hanging paintings with a sculptural quality)
